What is 4DFEST?
4DFEST is our outdoor dance and performance festival hosted by 4D Dance CIC.
It brings together dancers from all venues for a full day of performances, workshops, activities, food and entertainment for the whole family.
The first 4DFEST took place in 2024 and was such a special day that we’re bringing it back bigger than ever for 2026.
When is 4DFEST?
Sunday 24th May 2026
• Festival running approximately 11:00am – 11:00pm
• 4D performances finish around 9:00pm
There will also be a rehearsal day on Saturday 23rd May at Willow Grange Farm.
• Dancers will be given a specific rehearsal slot
• They do not need to attend all day
• Professional photographers will take photos during dress rehearsals
• Photos will be available to purchase after the event
More detailed timings will be released closer to the event.
Where is it being held?
Willow Grange Farm
Ely Road, Cambridgeshire
CB25 9PL
The venue gives us space to create a full festival environment with stages, workshops, food vendors and family activities.
Who can attend?
4DFEST is open to:
• All 4th Dimension dancers performing
• Parents and families
• Friends and supporters
• Members of the public
It is designed to be a full family day out, not just a dance show.
How do dancers take part?
To take part in 4DFEST dancers must be officially registered and have paid their Performance Fee.
This confirms their place in the event and helps cover the cost of:
• Rehearsals
• Event infrastructure
• Festival production
The performer fee includes:
• Official registration for the festival
• A 4DFEST performer t-shirt
• All rehearsals leading up to the event
• Access to the festival for the whole day
• Access to workshops and activities
• The opportunity to perform on the festival stage
Registration is available through the 4DFEST app and online shop.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for spectators will be released once transport arrangements are fully confirmed.
Parents will be notified as soon as tickets become available.
Do performers need a ticket?
No.
• Performers do not need a spectator ticket
• Festival access is included in their performer registration
How do I download the 4DFEST app?
The official 4DFEST app will be available on:
• Apple App Store
• Google Play Store
The app will include:
• Event updates
• Realm line-up
• Food vendors
• Travel information
• Festival details
• Registration links
• Announcements
Download links will be shared once the app is live.
How do we travel to the festival?
Due to the venue being located on the A10, traffic management is an important part of planning.
To reduce congestion we will be running shuttle buses from nearby locations.
• Shuttle buses will run throughout the day
• Cost will be £1 per adult (18+) for unlimited travel
Routes and timetables will be confirmed closer to the event.
Can we drive and park?
Parking at the venue will be very limited. You won't be able to access the festival via the A10 and will need to use backroad farm tracks instead. This is the only way we can have the event approved by the highways team.
• Parking must be booked in advance, if not booked you will be refused entry
• Families are strongly encouraged to use shuttle buses
More information will be released soon.
What happens on the day?
4DFEST is designed as a full festival experience including:
• Main stage dance performances
• Additional performers and entertainment
• Drop-in workshops
• Kids’ activities
• Food vendors
• Music
• Community stalls
Families are welcome to stay for the whole day and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
When will my child perform?
The full performance schedule will be released closer to the event.
However:
• Early Dimensions classes will perform in the first slot of the day
• Level 1 classes will aim to perform earlier in the schedule
• This helps younger dancers avoid staying too late
Exact timings will be confirmed nearer the event.
Who is responsible for the dancers during the day?
Dancers remain with their families until it is time for their performance.
• Families remain responsible during the day
• Shortly before performing, dancers check in with our team
• They are then cared for by licensed chaperones backstage
• After performing they are returned to their families
This allows families to enjoy the festival while keeping performances organised and safe.
How many routines will each class perform?
• All classes will perform two routines during the festival
This allows dancers to fully experience the event and helps build the overall show.
Costumes
Costumes will be a mixture of items provided by 4D and things you've already got in your wardrobe.
• Some costume pieces will be organised by 4D, statement pieces for certain dances
• Students will be asked to provide other items such as leggings, jeans, jackets, joggers, tops or shoes
This helps keep costs manageable while still creating a strong visual performance. Where possible we ask for you to reuse or borrow, rather than buy new.
More details will be shared once routines are finalised.
What if my child is nervous?
Feeling nervous is completely normal, especially at a big event.
• Dancers perform with their class and teachers
• Our team and chaperones support them throughout
• The backstage environment is positive and encouraging
• Many dancers who were nervous at the last festival ended up loving it
If you have concerns, please speak to us and we will always do our best to support them.
Are there things for siblings and non-dancers?
Yes.
One of the main goals of 4DFEST is to create a day the whole family can enjoy.
There will be:
• Workshops
• Activities
• Entertainment
• Food vendors
How can parents help?
Events like this rely heavily on community support.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help with:
• Stewarding
• Parking marshals
• Shuttle stops
• General event assistance
If you would like to help, please let us know.
